It will be a string of 8 letters and numbers.
If you entered your eMail address incorrectly, or used a web-based account (such as hotmail or Yahoo! mail) which has been deactivated or is over your limit for message space, then you won't receive your validation code. You will have to register a different handle, or wait 5 days for this unregistered handle to expire before you can try registering it again.
